Ronald B. Tye, Psy.D. is the clinical director of Treasure Valley Psychological Services, and is a licensed clinical psychologist, holding licenses in both Idaho and Arizona. He has been professionally active for over thirty years, practicing as a licensed psychologist here in Idaho, as well as a marriage and family therapist in California.

Dr. Tye received his formal clinical training in southern California. He attended BIOLA University, Rosemead School of Psychology, and graduated in 1983. Dr. Tye received an M.A. and a Doctor of Psychology, Psy.D., in Clinical Psychology. Rosemead School of Psychology is an American Psychological Association approved program. This rigorous academic course of study involves a five year graduate program which includes counseling experiences with a University Counseling Center, Junior High School students and outpatient psychiatric/counseling clinics.

In 1982, Dr. Tye completed a one year residency at San Bernardino County Mental Health. This included an inpatient and outpatient rotation. Following his residency, he entered a one year postdoctoral internship with CPC Horizon Psychiatric Hospital in Pomona California. He has held several clinical staff positions at inpatient hospitals while practicing in California.

Dr. Tye resides and works in Boise. He began his present Boise practice in 1998. While working at his Boise office, he concurrently served as the civilian senior psychologist at Mountain Home Air Force Base, helping the brave men and women serving our country, until October 2005. During this seven year period of time he became familiar with a wide range of military-specific issues. He assessed and treated both active duty members and their dependents. This included both children and adolescent family members. He is currently practicing exclusively at his Boise location.
